Overview
Instagram scheduling that starts from your brand
Scheduling Instagram posts with Brandlyre means doing the creative work once, on a big screen, and letting the posting happen on its own. You connect your professional Instagram account, and Brandlyre learns your brand from your website and your past posts. From there you can write a post yourself or ask for a week of drafts: each one gets an image, a caption written for Instagram rather than pasted from LinkedIn, and suggested hashtags. You check it, adjust anything you like and schedule it. At that time Brandlyre publishes it to your account through Instagram's official API.
Carousels from the images you already have
Pick two to ten images from your library, or import a multi-page Canva design, and they go out as one swipeable post in the order you set. It is the format to use when one photo is not enough: a before and after, a step-by-step, a menu.
Schedule Stories alongside the feed
A Story is one vertical image, scheduled like any other post. Plan the Story that announces Friday's post on the same screen as the post itself, so the two never drift apart.
It reads what you have already posted
When you connect, Brandlyre imports up to a year of your past Instagram posts, as many as 200. They fill in your calendar, and Brandlyre uses them to learn your topics, your rhythm and what gets a reaction, so new suggestions follow the feed you have built.

Approve and relax
Nothing goes out until you schedule it. At that time, it publishes on its own.
What you can post
What you can publish to Instagram
Brandlyre publishes images: one, several, or one vertical frame. Each format has the limits Instagram itself sets.
| Format | Details |
|---|---|
| Post | A single image with your caption, in your grid. |
| Story | Exactly one image, shown for 24 hours. |
| Carousel | Two to ten images in one swipeable post. |
What you need
- A professional Instagram account (Business or Creator). Instagram does not let any app publish to a personal account.
- At least one image on every post: Instagram has no text-only post.
Not supported yet
- Reels and video posts.
- Product tags, collaborators and location tags.
- Story stickers, polls and music.
Tips
Tips for posting on Instagram
Write the first line for the feed
Instagram cuts a caption after a line or two. Put the point of the post there, and leave the details and hashtags for after the cut.
Use carousels to teach
A how-to, a checklist or a before and after reads better as slides than as one crowded image. Keep one idea per slide.
Keep a recognisable look
Reuse the same colours, type and framing so your posts are recognisable before anyone reads the name. Brandlyre keeps your brand colours in the profile it builds.
Use Stories for the everyday
The feed is your shop window. Stories suit the smaller things: a new delivery, today's special, a reminder about a post from earlier in the week.
Plan in batches
Sitting down once a week to plan beats deciding what to post every morning. Schedule the week, then spend the time you saved answering comments.

Instagram and Brandlyre: your questions
Can I schedule Instagram posts from my computer?
Yes. Brandlyre runs in your browser, so you plan, write and schedule on a computer. At the time you set, Brandlyre publishes the post itself. You do not need your phone, and no reminder asks you to post.
Do I need an Instagram business account?
You need a professional account, which can be Business or Creator. Switching is free in the Instagram app settings. Instagram does not allow any app to publish to a personal account.
Can Brandlyre post carousels and Stories?
Yes. A carousel takes two to ten images, and a Story takes exactly one. Both are scheduled like a normal post.
Can I schedule Reels?
Not yet. Brandlyre publishes images today, so Reels and other video posts are not supported. When video arrives, it will be listed on this page.
Will Brandlyre write my captions and hashtags?
If you ask it to. Brandlyre writes a caption for Instagram in your brand voice and suggests hashtags. You can edit both before scheduling, or write your own from scratch.
Does anything get posted without my approval?
No. Drafts stay drafts until you schedule them. Posts that Claude or ChatGPT create through Brandlyre wait for your approval before they can be scheduled.
What happens to my existing Instagram posts?
Nothing changes on Instagram. Brandlyre reads up to a year of them (as many as 200), shows them in your calendar as published, and uses them to learn your brand. It never edits or deletes them.
Will I see likes and comments?
Yes. Like and comment counts for the posts on your connected account come back into Brandlyre, so you can see which posts landed without opening the app.
