Overview
Social media for your Shopify store, starting from the catalogue
Most Shopify stores already have the raw material for a month of posts: product photos, descriptions, prices. Brandlyre reads it for you. Give your brand your store's address and it imports your products from the public product list every Shopify store publishes, so there is no app to install, no API key and no access to your orders or customers. The products join your brand profile, and their photos go to your library. From then on you can pick a product when you write a post, and Brandlyre attaches its photo and writes about it in your brand voice.
Your catalogue, brought in for you
Up to 50 products per import: name, description, price, link and main photo. Edit any of them in Brandlyre, and a later import never overwrites your changes.

How it works
Three steps from store to post
-
1
Add your store's address
Use your Shopify store's web address as your brand's website.
-
2
Import products
Brandlyre reads your catalogue and saves the products and photos.
-
3
Post about them
Pick a product in any post and schedule it to your channels.
What you can post
What Brandlyre imports from Shopify
Only what your store already shows the public: no orders, no customers, no stock levels.
| Format | Details |
|---|---|
| Name and description | As written in your store, for Brandlyre to write from. |
| Price | With its currency, so a post can mention it. |
| Main photo | Saved to your library, in a "Products" folder. |
| Product link | The page where people can buy it. |
What you need
- A Shopify store that is open to the public. A store behind Shopify's password page cannot be read.
- Your store's web address set as your brand's website in Brandlyre.
Not supported yet
- Automatic syncing. Import again when your catalogue changes.
- More than 50 products per import, or 200 per brand.
Tips
Tips for promoting Shopify products on social media
Show the product in use
A plain product shot works on your store. On social, a photo of the product being worn, poured or unpacked does more.
Mark your best sellers as featured
Featured products come first when Brandlyre plans your posts, so the products you most want to sell get the most attention.
Mix selling with the rest
A feed of nothing but products reads like an advert. Alternate product posts with how-tos, reviews and behind-the-scenes posts.
Tell people where to buy
Mention the link in your bio or the product name people can search for. Do not make them work it out.
Shopify and Brandlyre: your questions
Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. Brandlyre reads the public product list every Shopify store publishes, so there is nothing to install and no login to share.
Can Brandlyre see my orders or customers?
No. It only reads what your store shows to any visitor: product names, descriptions, prices, links and photos.
How many products can I import?
Up to 50 per import and 200 per brand. Once a brand reaches 200, later imports still refresh the products it already has.
Will an import overwrite my edits?
No. As soon as you edit a product in Brandlyre, later imports leave it alone.
When do products update?
When you import again, with "Find products on website" on your brand page. Brandlyre does not sync on its own, and you can import once every few minutes.
My store is password protected. Will it work?
Not while the password page is on: Brandlyre can only read a store that is open to the public. You can add products by hand in the meantime.
Does importing cost credits?
No. Importing reads your store's own product data and involves no AI, so it is free.
